Ingredients
- 3 1/2 oz. sugar
- 1 c. lard
- 2 eggs
- 4 c. plain all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- sugar for sprinkling
- 1 heaped tsp. powdered cinnamon
Method
- Cut the sugar into the lard; add the eggs and beat well.
- Sift the flour with the baking powder; mix well.
- Form into balls; flatten with the fingers
- and sprinkle with sugar and powdered cinnamon.
- Bake at 350° for 25 minutes for cookies (3 to 4-inch diameter) or 15 minutes for smaller ones.
- The big ones are more traditional.
