Ingredients
- 2 c. water
- 2 beef bouillon cubes or 2 tsp. instant broth granules
- 1 c. dried lentils, rinsed
- 8 oz. kielbasa (Polish sausage), cut 1/4-inch thick rounds
- 1 c. sliced celery (2 medium-size ribs)
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 (16 oz.) can crushed tomatoes in puree
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
Method
- Put water and bouillon cubes in a 4-quart Dutch oven and bring to a boil over high heat.
- While liquid comes to a boil, prepare and add all the remaining ingredients in order given.
- Let contents of pot boil very briskly for about 30 seconds while you stir the mixture constantly.
