Ingredients
- 2 lb. sauerkraut
- 8 strips bacon
- 1 large onion
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
Method
- Wash kraut in cold water.
- Cook over low heat with 1/2 cup water.
- Cut bacon in small pieces and brown with onion.
- Drain fat off bacon.
- Add kraut; add caraway seed and sugar.
- Cook 1 1/2 hours.
