Ingredients
- 1/2 c. and 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. caraway seeds
- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1-20 oz. can sauerkraut
- 1 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 3 oz. pimentos
- salt
Method
- In a saucepan combine salt, vinegar, caraway seeds and sugar. Bring to boil over medium heat. Stir in sauerkraut, onion, celery, pepper & pimento. Remove from heat & let marinate overnight before serving. This stores well for later use.
