Ingredients

  • 5 medium potatoes, diced
  • 5 medium onions, diced
  • 1 tall can salmon, deboned, dark skin removed and flaked
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tall cans evaporated milk

Method

  • Place diced potatoes and onions in large pot; cover with water.
  • Add salt, pepper and margarine.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Turn heat down; simmer an hour or so.
  • Add salmon; cook about 15 minutes. Add milk; heat until very hot.
  • Do not boil.
  • Serve with saltines.
