Ingredients
- 1 lb. can salmon
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 1 tsp. onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- salmon liquor
- milk
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
Method
- Drain salmon and save liquor.
- Remove bones and skin and flake salmon.
- Melt Crisco in frying pan.
- Add onion and cook until yellow.
- Add bread crumbs, salt and pepper; brown lightly.
- Put liquor in 1 cup and pour milk to make 1 cup.
