Ingredients
- 5 slices bread
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. onion
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- pepper
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 8 oz. water
Method
- Soak bread in water and then squeeze excess water out.
- Mix bread, ground beef, celery, onion, carrot and spices.
- Shape into thin patties and brown in oil.
- Put in large heavy pan and cover with tomato sauce and water.
- Cover and simmer 30 minutes.
