Ingredients

  • 1 (6 ounce) package vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1 yellow cake mix, pudding in the mix
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (1/2 walnuts, 1/2 pecans,etc.)
  • 12 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 12 cup water
  • 12 cup spiced rum
  • 14 lb butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 14 cup water
  • 12 cup spiced rum

Method

  • Preheat oven to 325.
  • Combine pudding mix, cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, water,& spiced rum; mix with a mixer.
  • Grease& flour a bundt/tube cake pan.
  • Put nuts in pan first, then pour in cake mix.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes.
  • Cool for 15 minutes, then invert on a plate.
  • Prick cake with toothpick (esp.
  • the top& sides).
  • Drizzle with glaze while cake is stil hot; spoon ALL of mixture over cake.
  • GLAZE: While cake is in oven, melt butter in a saucepan.
  • Stir in sugar& water.
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat& add rum (do NOT cook the rum!
