Ingredients
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Method
- Let yeast dissolve in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Mix flour and liquid to form soft dough.
- Knead gently on floured board.
- Form dough in 12 small balls and place in muffin pan.
- Brush with oleo. Let double in size.
- Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Makes 12 muffins.
