Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. rice
- pinch of salt
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 lump butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- dash of nutmeg
Method
- Stir sugar, rice and salt in a deep pan.
- Add milk and stir in butter.
- Place in preheated 400° oven.
- Bake for 2 hours.
- After first hour, stir every 15 minutes until pudding thickens.
- Place in serving bowl, sprinkle with nutmeg and cool to room temperature before serving.
