Ingredients
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 2 c. rhubarb, cut into 1/2-inch bits
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. nuts
Method
- Cream white sugar, butter and shortening.
- Add vanilla, soda and salt and mix.
- Add egg and beat well.
- Add milk, flour and rhubarb; mix well.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle brown sugar and nuts on top.
- Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
- Serve with whipped topping.
