Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 (12 oz.) can corned beef
  • 2 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2/3 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
  • 1/3 c. Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/3 c. rye bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. melted margarine

Method

  • Arrange sauerkraut in bottom of 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Layer corned beef over kraut.
  • Layer Swiss cheese.
  • Combine mayonnaise and salad dressing, spread evenly over the cheese.
  • Cover with tomato slices, toss bread crumbs in melted butter.
  • Sprinkle over the top.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
