Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 egg, beaten
- 6 c. plain flour
Method
- In large bowl, add 1 1/2 cups water, sugar, salt and melted shortening.
- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water.
- Add to other mixture.
- Mix and add egg and 3 cups flour.
- Beat well and add remaining flour.
- This can be used before chilling or made ahead of time and refrigerated.
