Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 7 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp. salt

Method

  • Mix sugar and Crisco in large mixing bowl.
  • Add 1 cup hot water and eggs.
  • Dissolve yeast and 1 cup of warm water.
  • (I add part of the sugar to the yeast mixture.
  • It helps it rise.)
  • Add the yeast mixture to the Crisco mixture; mix well.
  • Stir in flour.
  • Store in refrigerator in a greased bowl with lid or wet towel.
  • Let rise until double in bulk.
  • Punch down and make into desired rolls.
  • Let rise about 2 hours in a warm place.
  • Bake at 400°.
