Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco
- 1 c. hot water
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 7 c. plain flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Mix sugar and Crisco in large mixing bowl.
- Add 1 cup hot water and eggs.
- Dissolve yeast and 1 cup of warm water.
- (I add part of the sugar to the yeast mixture.
- It helps it rise.)
- Add the yeast mixture to the Crisco mixture; mix well.
- Stir in flour.
- Store in refrigerator in a greased bowl with lid or wet towel.
- Let rise until double in bulk.
- Punch down and make into desired rolls.
- Let rise about 2 hours in a warm place.
- Bake at 400°.
