Ingredients
- 4 pounds cucumbers, peeled and sliced
- 4 tablespoons pickling salt
- 1 - 1/2 teaspoons mustard seed
- 3/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon alum
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 - 1/2 cups white vinegar
Method
- In large bowl combine salt, mustard seed, celery seed, onion, sugar, and white vinegar. Put pickles in jars, cover with vinegar mixture. Put in refrigerator. Keeps for 2 weeks.
