Ingredients
- 2 qt. water
- 2 c. white vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. salt
- 4 hearts of garlic
- 4 pieces of dill
- 4 tsp. pickling spices
- cucumbers
Method
- To make brine, boil water, vinegar, sugar and salt; cool.
- In a gallon jug (or 4 quart jars), put hearts of garlic, dill and spices.
- Slice cucumbers lengthwise and fill jug or jars.
- Pour brine into jug or jars; let stand for 24 hours.
- Refrigerate.
