Ingredients
- 25 medium sized cucumbers
- 3 medium sized onions
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- 4 c. cider vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
Method
- Slice unpared cucumbers and the peeled onions as for table use, making them thin slices (coin shape).
- Mix all other ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Pour over slices.
- Using glass jars for storage, cover jars and keep refrigerated.
- Tastes like a bread and butter pickle.
