Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 6 c. unsifted flour
Method
- Over shortening, salt and sugar, pour boiling water.
- Blend and cool.
- Sprinkle yeast over warm water and dissolve. Add 2 beaten eggs and mix well with shortening.
- Add flour, blend well and cover.
- Place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours overnight. Make into desired shape and let rise until doubled in size.
- Bake at 400°.
