Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 c. water
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. smooth peanut butter
- 1 Tbsp. oil
Method
- Heat until bubbling the margarine, water, eggs, cocoa and buttermilk.
- Add sugar, flour, baking powder and vanilla while hot but not on stove.
- Put in greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Cool thoroughly.
- Mix peanut butter with oil.
- Stir well.
- Spread over cake.
