Ingredients

  • 1 large can tomato paste
  • 1 large can whole tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 can water
  • 1 c. Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb. ground beef

Method

  • Puree tomato paste and tomatoes in blender.
  • Add garlic, Italian seasoning and water.
  • Mix together and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Make meatballs with bread crumbs, egg and ground beef.
  • Add to sauce 45 minutes before serving.
  • For less fat, brown meatballs before adding to sauce.
