Ingredients
- 2 lb. fresh green beans, washed and snapped
- 1 (14.5 oz.) can whole tomatoes, crushed by hand
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- allspice to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Saut onion in oil and garlic until transparent (about 5 to 10 minutes).
- Add tomatoes, spices, salt and pepper; bring to a boil and add green beans.
- Turn to simmer and cook until beans are tender.
