Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 c. oil
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 bottles red food coloring
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cocoa
- 1 tsp. white vinegar
- 2 eggs
Method
- Sift together flour, baking soda and cocoa.
- Set aside.
- Cream together eggs and sugar and add oil, butter, milk, vinegar and red food coloring.
- Add dry ingredients slowly until all dry ingredients are incorporated.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.
