Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. coconut
  • 2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Beat well the shortening, white sugar, brown sugar and eggs with electric mixer.
  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in coconut, Rice Krispies, oatmeal, vanilla and pecans.
  • Spoon walnut size drops of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
