Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. warm water
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 cakes compressed yeast or 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 6 c. all-purpose flour
Method
- Mix together in large bowl, water, honey and salt.
- Blend in yeast.
- Beat in egg, softened butter and 3 cups of flour for 2 minutes.
- Gradually add 1 cup flour, beating hard.
- Use hands to work in all remaining flour until smooth.
- Grease top of dough.
