- 1 1/2 lb. stew meat, browned in 2 Tbsp. oil
- 4 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- dash of allspice
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Pour over browned meat and simmer for 2 hours.
- Add 6 small carrots, sliced and 3 or 4 potatoes, cubed.
- Continue cooking until carrots and potatoes are done.
- Make a small amount of flour and water paste and thicken juice to desired consistency.
