Ingredients
- 2 c. seedless raisins
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Boil raisins in 1 3/4 cups water 5 minutes.
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and salt.
- Moisten with remaining 1/4 cup cold water and add to raisins.
- Stir until mixture boils.
- Remove from fire and add butter and vinegar.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Cover top with pastry.
- Bake in hot oven at 425° for 25 to 30 minutes.
