Ingredients
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- 1 (8 oz.) jar applesauce
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- dash of salt
- 1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 c. evaporated milk
Method
- Sprinkle raisins in bottom of pie shell.
- Add layer of applesauce over the raisins.
- In mixing bowl, combine spices, sugar and salt.
- Add pumpkin, milk and beaten eggs.
- Put mixture over applesauce in the pie shell.
- Bake at 400° in lower level of oven 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with ice cream if desired.
