Ingredients
- 1 lb. bulk sausages (meat or links)
- 4 slices bread (your choice)
- 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 6 eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard (optional)
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
Method
- Tear bread into pieces and place on greased baking dish (13 x 9 x 2-inch).
- Brown sausage in skillet, then drain off fat.
- Cut links in slices.
- Spoon sausage over bread.
- Sprinkle with grated Cheddar.
- Beat together eggs, milk, dry mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over mixture in baking dish.
- Bake in preheated 350° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Cheese will rise to top during baking.
- This can be prepared the night before.
- Cover and refrigerate. Breakfast cooks without effort.
