Ingredients
- 15 to 20 pumpkin or squash blossoms
- 2 or 3 stems fresh basil or 2 Tbsp. dried
- 4 or 5 eggs
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking power
- 1/4 c. oil
- 2 c. water
- enough flour to make like thin pancake batter
- grated Romano cheese
Method
- Chop blossoms and basil and add to slightly beaten eggs.
- Add remaining ingredients and fry in hot oil like pancakes.
- Drop by large tablespoonfuls in oil.
- Fry on both sides and put on platter. Sprinkle with grated Romano cheese.
