Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 1 Brie wheel (whole baby Brie)
  • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 Tbsp. water

Method

  • Thaw pastry for 20 minutes.
  • Unfold and roll on lightly floured surface to a 14-inch square.
  • Trim to a 14-inch circle. Sprinkle bottom of pastry with 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar. Place unwrapped Brie on top; sprinkle remaining sugar on Brie. Fold pastry over Brie to enclose cheese.
  • Brush with egg and bake at 375° for 25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • If too hot, Brie will be runny.
