Ingredients
- 4 c. chicken broth
- 4 c. tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/8 tsp. sugar
- salt and pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. washed and finely chopped greens (either parsley, spinach or sorrel)
Method
- Mix broth, tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper in a 2-quart pan. Bring to boil.
- Add garlic, if desired.
- Simmer 10 minutes, uncovered.
- Just before serving, add greens; stir.
- Serve hot or cold.
