Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. warm mashed potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 6 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs

Method

  • Sprinkle yeast in water.
  • Add sugar and salt.
  • Let bubble.
  • Add eggs and 3 cups flour.
  • Mix at high speed with mixer.
  • Add 2 cups more flour.
  • Use wooden spoon to mix rest of flour.
  • Let rise in icebox, covered, for 2 hours.
  • Remove and punch down.
  • This may be kept in icebox for 3 or 4 days.
  • Just take out as much as you need. Shape into rolls and let rise for 2 hours.
  • Bake at 350° in oven until done.
