Ingredients

  • 2 lb. frozen hash browns
  • 1/2 c. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 2 c. crushed potato chips

Method

  • Combine 1/2 cup butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream and cheese.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Place hash browns in butter coated oblong baking dish.
  • Pour mix over potatoes.
  • Mix 1/4 cup butter and crushed potato chips; sprinkle over top.
  • Cover and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
