Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 10 c. water
- 6 c. cabbage, chopped
- 4 c. potatoes, peeled and diced
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic, dried (if desired)
- 4 c. cooked ham, cubed
Method
- In a large soup kettle, saute onion in butter until tender. Add water, cabbage, potatoes, bouillon cubes, pepper and garlic. Cover and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Stir in ham.
- Makes 12 to 14 servings.
