Ingredients

  • 4 lb. beef arm, blade or cross rib pot roast or 3 lb. beef bottom round, rolled rump, tip or chuck eye
  • 1 can (10 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 pkg. onion soup mix
  • 8 small potatoes
  • 8 medium carrots, cut crosswise in half
  • 2 Tbsp. water

Method

  • Place piece of foil 30 x 18-inches in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches.
  • Place beef in pan.
  • Mix soup and onion soup mix; spread over meat.
  • Add vegetables; sprinkle with water. Fold foil over and seal.
  • Bake 4 hours in 300° oven.
  • Makes 8 servings.
