Ingredients
- 5 pork steaks
- small amount of fat
- 1 1/2 c. rice
- 1 medium diced onion
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 green pepper
- 1 sliced onion
- 1 large can tomatoes, crushed
Method
- Brown steaks in small amount of fat and set aside.
- In same frying pan, brown (saute) rice and 1 medium diced onion.
- When browned, pour rice into 3-quart casserole.
- Overlap pork shoulder steaks on rice.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover meat with green pepper and 1 sliced onion.
- Pour over all the tomatoes.
- Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour.
- Uncover and brown for a few minutes if desired.
