Ingredients
- 6 pork loin chops, cut 3/4-inch thick
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 (14 oz.) jar spiced pear halves
- ground nutmeg
Method
- Trim fat from chops.
- Coat chops with mixture of the flour, 3/4 teaspoon salt and a dash of pepper.
- Brown chops on both sides in hot oil.
- Place chops in 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish. Drain pears.
- Reserve 1/2 cup syrup.
- Set pears aside.
- Pour syrup over meat.
- Cover; place in 350° oven for 45 minutes.
- Add pears; sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Cook until heated through, 10 to 15 minutes more.
- Serves 6.
