Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. uncooked rice
  • 1/2 c. each: chopped onion, celery, green pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 2 tsp. salt or less
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. tomato catsup
  • 1/3 c. grated cheese

Method

  • Combine first 8 ingredients, plus 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and garlic powder.
  • Form into balls and place in greased casserole.
  • Combine soup, water, catsup, remaining salt and pepper.
  • Bring to boil; pour over meat.
  • Cover.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
  • Remove from oven and stir in cheese.
