- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. uncooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. powdered marjoram
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 1/2 green pepper, minced
- 1 (12 oz.) can V-8 juice
- 1 can condensed beef broth
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
Method
- Mix first 7 ingredients.
- Mix remaining ingredients and add 1/2 cup to first mixture.
- Shape in a loaf and put in baking pan. Pour remaining liquid over meat loaf.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake in 375° oven for 1 hour.
