Ingredients

  • 1 qt. popped corn
  • 1/3 c. almonds
  • salt
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2/3 c. pecans
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. white corn syrup

Method

  • Combine popped corn and nuts, toss with butter and salt. Spread on flat pan, combine sugar, 1/2 cup butter and corn syrup in saucepan.
  • Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  • Then boil, stirring occasionally until turns light caramel color.
  • Remove from heat, add vanilla. Pour over popcorn, stir to coat.
  • Spread out.
  • Break apart when cool.
  • Store in airtight container.
  • Yields 2 pounds.
