Ingredients
- 1 qt. popped corn
- 1/3 c. almonds
- salt
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. pecans
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. white corn syrup
Method
- Combine popped corn and nuts, toss with butter and salt. Spread on flat pan, combine sugar, 1/2 cup butter and corn syrup in saucepan.
- Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
- Then boil, stirring occasionally until turns light caramel color.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla. Pour over popcorn, stir to coat.
- Spread out.
- Break apart when cool.
- Store in airtight container.
- Yields 2 pounds.
