Ingredients
- 1 3/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. butter or other shortening
Method
- Cream
- shortening
- and 3/4 cup sugar.
- Beat egg whites. Add 1/4
- cup
- sugar.
- Add
- egg yolks and vanilla.
- Beat until fluffy. Then
- fold in
- other ingredients; blend thoroughly. Pour in two (8-inch) layer cake pans.
- Grease bottom of pans and line with wax paper. Bake at 350° about 25 minutes.
