Ingredients

  • 1 (11 oz.) can Pillsbury soft breadsticks
  • 1 pkg. thin sliced pepperoni
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. or more pizza sauce

Method

  • Separate and unroll breadsticks.
  • Place 3 or more slices of pepperoni in a single layer over 1/2 of each breadstick.
  • Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons sauce over the pepperoni.
  • Sprinkle a little cheese over the sauce.
  • Fold remaining half of breadstick over the top, sealing the ends.
  • Twist the breadstick into a figure eight. Mix 2 tablespoons cheese with Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Sprinkle over each stick.
  • Bake in preheated 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve with heated pizza sauce.
  • For a crunchy crust, lightly sprinkle bottoms with cornmeal.
  • Makes 8.
  • Very good for school lunches.
