Ingredients

  • 6 oz. elbow spaghetti
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Hunt's herb tomato sauce
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Cook and drain spaghetti.
  • Add lump of butter; set aside. When cool, add the eggs.
  • Brown hamburger, onion and green pepper. Add flour, sugar, oregano, garlic powder, tomato sauce and cottage cheese.
  • Pour spaghetti mixture into buttered 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with 6 slices of American cheese.
  • Pour hamburger mixture over cheese.
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
  • Add the Mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake until melted.
  • (Pepperoni is optional.)
