Ingredients
- 1 box cake mix (white or yellow)
- 1 can pineapple rings, drain and reserve liquid
- butter
- brown sugar
- cherries (maraschino)
Method
- Mix cake mix according to package directions using reserved pineapple juice mixed with the water. Dot bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with butter (spray with a vegetable spray coating first). Arrange pineapple slices on bottom of pan.
- Place cherries in the center of the pineapple.
- Pour batter over pineapple.
- Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes.
