Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. butter
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3/4 c. crushed pineapple, undrained

Method

  • Combine shortening, butter and sugar.
  • Cream until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Combine flour and baking powder.
  • Add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk and vanilla and beating well after each addition.
  • Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
