Ingredients

  • 4 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 8 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 4 teaspoons Sugar
  • 8 Tablespoons Crisco Shortening, Butter-flavored
  • 1- 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 pound Hamburger
  • 1 pound Sausage, Ground
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method

  • Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together.
  • Cut in Crisco the way you would for pie crust.
  • Add milk.
  • Take a ball of dough and roll out thinly into a large rectangle.
  • (I use the inside area of my cutting board.)
  • Cut into 3x4 rectangles.
  • Add any dough left over to your next ball of dough.
  • Mix meat together with salt and pepper.
  • Put approximately 3 to 4 tablespoons of mixture on each rectangle.
  • Dont fill them too much.
  • The sides have to overlap.
  • Roll up ends, then sides.
  • Seal sides with milk.
  • Place side-by-side in a 9x13 pan.
  • Brush tops with milk.
  • Bake at 350F for one hour.
