Ingredients
- 4 c. distilled white vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. turmeric, ground
- 1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/3 tsp. mustard seed
- 3 large onions, sliced thin
- 10 to 12 cucumbers, sliced thin
Method
- Mix spices together; stir until syrupy.
- Fill jar with onions and cucumbers in alternate layers.
- Pour syrup mixture over slices and refrigerate for 5 days.
