Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. graham flour
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
Method
- Measure into cup the graham flour and then turn into a large bowl.
- Sift into the bowl over the graham flour the 2 cups flour, soda, salt and brown sugar.
- Mix together lightly the molasses and buttermilk or sour milk and add to the flour mixture.
- Mix and turn into well-greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.
- Turn out to cool.
