Ingredients

  • 3 cans Bush's hot chili beans
  • 3 cans Del Monte Mexican style stewed tomatoes
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 2 to 3 lb. ground chuck
  • 6 large onions, chopped
  • 6 jalapenos, chopped
  • 1 pkg. Durkee chili mix
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 4 Tbsp. McCormick hot chili powder
  • 3 bell peppers
  • 4 to 6 c. water or 4 cans Budweiser (optional)

Method

  • Brown meat and add bell peppers and onions.
  • Drain grease. Add spices; mix well.
  • Now add all other ingredients, mixing well as you go along.
  • The secret is to cook it slow and stir occasionally.
  • Makes about 2 gallons.
