- 3 cans Bush's hot chili beans
- 3 cans Del Monte Mexican style stewed tomatoes
- 1 lb. hot sausage
- 2 to 3 lb. ground chuck
- 6 large onions, chopped
- 6 jalapenos, chopped
- 1 pkg. Durkee chili mix
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 Tbsp. garlic
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 Tbsp. McCormick hot chili powder
- 3 bell peppers
- 4 to 6 c. water or 4 cans Budweiser (optional)
Method
- Brown meat and add bell peppers and onions.
- Drain grease. Add spices; mix well.
- Now add all other ingredients, mixing well as you go along.
- The secret is to cook it slow and stir occasionally.
- Makes about 2 gallons.
