Ingredients
- 4 c. basil leaves, lightly packed
- 1 c. olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 c. parsley
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 c. pine nuts, walnuts or almonds
- 3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- dash of white wine (optional)
Method
- Put basil into blender.
- Add rest of ingredients, except cheese.
- Finely chop, punching down as needed.
- Add additional oil, if necessary, to attain a loose paste that is not too soupy or runny.
- Remove from blender into bowl.
- Add cheese.
- Great over pasta, fish, bread, etc.
